Iemand nog op zoek naar een Duitse vriendin?
All aboard Germany's lonely-heart expressBERLIN, Jan 15, 2009 (AFP) - It's a speed-dating party with a difference: on Valentine's Eve, German singles will climb aboard the so-called "Flirt-Express" hoping to meet the love of their life ... on a train. Lonely hearts will ride the rails for the "nationwide flirt", meeting a new potential sweetheart every five minutes. If it is love at first sight, contact details are exchanged and "the couple must then decide if they want to take it further," organiser Deutsche Bahn said in a statement. Those not struck by Cupid's arrow by the time the train pulls back into the station need not despair: there is a party afterwards where passengers can continue flirting "to their heart's content." The flirt-express departs from 10 major German cities on the night of February 13. This is the second year the service has been offered. Last year, the event was massively oversubscribed, with 5,000 singles registering for only 800 seats.
